Diamond painting is an easy and enjoyable activity for crafters young and older. Based on precisely the exact same notion as
mosaics and paint-by-numbers, diamond painting uses tiny"diamond"-like facets to make colorful designs and layouts for completed
designs that sparkle. Implementing the diamonds is an easy three-step procedure that is relaxing and meditative, providing hours
of enjoyment as you re-create your own design.
What's Included
Although diamond painting kits vary depending on the company, they all contain the Exact Same basic substances:
Fabric printed with design chart
Colorful diamonds
Diamond applicator instrument
Tub of wax
Tips and Tricks
Review your graph and legend carefully before you begin. The bundles of diamonds have been tagged with the colour name or number,
but it may help to also label the bag with the emblem used for that colour. This can allow you to quickly identify the correct
color as you work.
When you peel this plastic movie, the graph area will be sticky. It is recommended that you don't eliminate the entire piece of
plastic at once. Instead, slowly peel back the plastic film as you work. If you take a rest from your project, re-cover your
work-in-progress with all the plastic film to stop your project from gathering dust or tear out and losing its stickiness.
It's easiest to start at the base of the design and work your way up.
Your kit has a little tray to hold the diamonds as you work. This works great once you're working with a single colour at a time,
which is recommended. If you prefer to work row by row, switching colors as you work down your graph, use little bowls or crafting
tubs to maintain the colors separated as you work. Ensure you label each bathtub with the colour it contains.
When placing the diamonds at the tray or bowl, take the time to place the diamonds together with the flat side . The diamonds need
to be in this place to use the applicator tool.
Getting Started
Dip the tip of the applicator tool to the wax. The wax will enable you to pick up diamonds.
Look over your chart and decide which colour diamond to use. Press the tip of the applicator tool to the rounded side of the
diamond.
Pull back the plastic picture to uncover the area you are working on and carefully press on the diamond on the symbol.
Repeat Steps 1--3 until your layout is complete.
After positioning the last diamond, place the protective film over the top of the plan. With a rolling pin, gently roll the layout
to guarantee the diamonds on the sticky surface.
